Until 2010, the resort, where it stands today, was a "jungle camp" for the lovers of white water rafting in Rishikesh, and also its base camp for all other adventure activities in the Uttarakhand region.
The resort is named after its mentor Col. Narender ‘Bull’ Kumar, one of India's most celebrated mountain climbers, who first planted India’s flag on the Siachen Glacier in 1981
When you arrive at Bull's Retreat, the wide open spaces, the lush green grass, and the exotic flowers just take your breath away! Pink Bougainvillea line the edge of the resort, shutting the world away. Wi-Fi connection is available on the front lawns - the perfect place to catch up with the world - but only if you feel like it!
Leading off from the landscaped garden is a gentle nature walk. A clear path - often used by the nomads, leads straight to the Ganga River. The resort often organize an evening tea by the river-side, or cool lemonade if you feel like it. It's the perfect way to end the day, watching the sun set behind the mountains, and listening to the call of the Ganges.
Bull's Retreat is an ideal weekend getaway for the entire family and can be combined with a river rafting trip. All rooms are air-conditioned with attached bath, hot running water and satellite TV - all the comforts of a holiday in the hills!
